Your Student Association members will be teaming up this evening to grab as many laughs as possible.

Beginning at 8 p.m. students can head to E.P. Taylor’s free of charge, to enjoy a night of entertainment. This all ages event will feature your SA President Anthony Boland and be hosted by SA Brand Ambassador Josh Bickle.

“It’s an opportunity for our students to see the other side of our student leaders taking on a fun role,” said Boland. “Essentially it’s about showing them that there are more dimensions to see.”

Students will hear music, see comedy, and all around talent. “I enjoy taking contemporary songs, including rap music, and turning it into a folk-acoustic guitar experience,” said Boland.

Host and SA Brand Ambassador, Josh Bickle explains the event as being unique because of its ‘coffee house’ environment.

“The SA is performing but it’s open to all students who want to perform,” said Bickle. “You get the coffee house feel, only it’s at E.P. Taylor’s where you can get drinks.”

This is the first time Durham College and UOIT have hosted an event like this on campus, but Boland and Bickle are positive the response will be well attended. Students are encouraged to take part, or simply sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

“We want to get people to our pub because it’s the place to be on campus,” said Boland. “This is your experience, it’s all about showing our students that the student experience here does come first and it’s up to our students to get involved.”
