Lucy Romao Vandepol organized the First Generation program lunch that ran on March 12th at Durham College. She explains to us why students, who are the first to go to college in their generation, should attend these meetings.
Life is insanely hectic and trying to balance our daily lives can be like trying to juggle hot potatoes.
But there is a unique approach to finding balance in this circus of life and it lies within the Aboriginal Student Centre here on campus.
It’s called the medicine wheel. It’s a holistic approach to finding balance in our daily lives and overall living a fulfilling life.
The medicine wheel is divided in four sections of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional quadrants. Each area is represented by earthly elements and colours that represent different stages in life.
Durham College offers a unique workshop to help students understand what their learning style is. So what’s your learning style? Check out the video to find out.
